VEGANSKINNYBITCH LARABAR GIVEAWAY
Yes, everyone, finally my first giveaway. I have so many mini Larabars that is simply cruel and crazy for me to keep them all to myself.
My petition to get CLIF & Company to boycott palm oil has come to a halt at just shy of 300 signatures. I was really hoping, because I have such a large base of compassionate followers, that word of this would have spread pretty fast. BUT IF I HAVE TO GIVE YOU SNACKS TO SAVE THE WORLD, BY GOLLY I WILL GIVE YOU SNACKS.
The rules are simple: whoever gets the most REBLOGS out of this by the time it reaches 700 signatures will win 30 FREE MINI PB&J LARABARS.
Oh my god, you KNOW you want them so badly.
They contain/are:
- no gluten
- no soy
- raw
- kosher!
- non-GMO
- only 100 calories
- dates, peanuts, unsweetened cherries, and salt.
I say by the time we reach 700 signatures because I’m hoping that those who reblog will sign. Another contest/giveaway will take place when 700 signatures have been reached :)
Off you go!
Easy Vegan Chai Latte
I’ve never actually had a chai latte, so I can’t compare this one to Starbucks, but it was delicious! I got the recipe here and even though the ingredients surprised me a little, it definitely worked- and it’s ready in less than five minutes ;)
You’ll need:
*soy milk (or another type of milk)
*chai or black tea bag
*maple syrup (you can use agave, or for nonvegans, honey)
*cayenne powderFill your mug with 2/3 soy milk and 1/3 water, then heat in the microwave.
Add the tea bag and let it brew for a few minutes.
Mix in a spoonfull of syrup and cayenne pepper to taste- and you’re all set!
Calories:
milk (56) + syrup (43) = 99

I failed at my original attempt at P90X. That’s not going to keep me from going at it again. I finally have space in my house to be able to do all of the exercises! So this makes me very excited.
A local beachbody coach is organizing a 90 Day Challenge. The original plan was going to be to meet everyday. Unfortunately that plan is no longer going to work. Not everyone could make the time fit into their schedules quite right. So now the plan is that we are going to meet a couple days per week.
I’m so glad I’m finally going to get back into some kind of routine again. I haven’t been feeling great lately so I think that a routine with good exercise is likely going to help me out.
Happy Day One, CT5Kers! I hope you woke up as excited as I did to start our journey. (Note: I didn’t really wake up that excited. I woke up thinking “what the hell did I get myself into!!” But now I’m excited!) I want to wish everyone the best of luck on this first day of running. Or jalking, in…

Yesterday I had a lot of things on my mind. Once I defined what those things were in my head all I wanted to do was let them go. I worked late and then proceeded to go home and do “grown up” things, i.e. mowing the lawn and laundry and cleaning. I’m so glad I did that. It made my day better.
And best of all, I was able to get my workout in for the day!
Core Synergistics
Wow! I have to say that I loved this workout. I love the fact that I can feel it today. I did all of the exercises except for some of the rolls. I did not have enough space to do them correctly. I think I am going to need to get some weights. I used my bands, but they can only do so much. There are some exercises that I would prefer weights for.
I followed it up with Ab Ripper. It was a lot harder to do than usual.
After Legs & Back on Sunday and Core Synergistics yesterday, I’m definitely it in my booty and my abs.
I guess you could call today the official Day 20?
Ever have times that you wish you could just drop everything and go workout? It’s almost like you need it to move on. Kind of like a drug.
That’s how I feel right now. I just want to leave the office and go to a kickboxing class or something. Although Kenpo might work. I love kenpo but it’s just not quite the same as kickboxing. I think I put more effort into kickboxing. Sometimes I just want to go hit a bag. I think that’s still on my list of things needed for my workout room.

I miss my college days. When I didn’t work and had spare time. It’s so hard to make time for everything in left - work, play, exercise, taking care of my house. And especially now that the season for my second job has started again.
Last week I worked out too hard and aggravated an old injury. This was from the night that I did both plyo and shoulders & back. Volleyball on Wednesday night was tough due to this. I could hardly move - serving or moving. My shoulder was out of commission and my shin splints were not being nice either. I believe new shoes are on my list of needed things.
My second job took away any spare time I had on Thursday or Saturday. Friday I had planned to workout after work, but some other things took up my time.
So late last night was my first workout in a while. I did legs and back. It seemed so hard last night. But I’m really glad I did it. I knew that I would feel good today.

I’m disappointed. Yesterday I felt great after Tuesday’s workouts. As the day progressed though, the soreness started to set in. My plan for yesterday was to go home after work, do Legs and Back, take my bike over to a friend’s and ride my bike to our volleyball game. Though when I got home, pretty much the moment I sat down on my bed to get my computer ready for my workout, I fell asleep. I did wake up in time to go to my sand volleyball game - which we lost in such an embarrassing fashion I didn’t want to be a part of my team any more.
Earlier this spring I injured my right shoulder at work. It was to the point that I actually had someone come in to study how I work, they hooked me up with some better ergonomics - new chair and a new keyboard tray that fit me better. They’ve made a world of difference. Unfortunately my workouts the other night aggravated it again. This has made work a little hard - I sit at a computer and use my mouse constantly. It also made it hard to play volleyball, I serve with my right hand.
To top off my injuries, my shin splints are coming back. Moving in the sand was ridiculously hard. I could barely walk by the end of the night. At least reffing volleyball only requires me to stand tonight. Although I bet I end up having to ice my shoulder afterwards. My mind is not quite in volleyball season mode yet.
Any suggestions, apart from rest, for quick healing?
